Lady PSI Threatened and Attacked in Chikkaballapura: Are Senior Cops Bowing to Political Pressure?

Even though three days have passed since this serious incident took place, the police have not arrested the accused, leading to widespread suspicion among the public.

Chikkaballapura: A serious question has now arisen as to whether even female police officers are unsafe in the state. A shocking incident has come to light where a female Sub-Inspector (PSI) on active duty was threatened and subjected to an assault attempt in Chinnasandra village of Chintamani taluk, Chikkaballapura district.

This is a story that Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara himself must look into seriously!

The incident took place in the early hours of April 3 at around 12:40 AM. When she questioned why a hotel was still kept open so late at night, a group of miscreants picked up a fight. The miscreants attempted to assault Chintamani Rural Police Station PSI Nagamma and her jeep driver, Venugopal. Showing zero respect for a Sub-Inspector, the goons abused her with foul language and issued open threats. A video of this rowdyism is also currently available.

Who are These "Daring" Goons?

Nagendra, Naveen, Puneeth, and Narendra, all residents of Alambagiri, are the accused who showed such audacity and attempted to assault PSI Nagamma and her staff. Currently, an FIR has been registered against them.

Did Senior Officers Try to Hush Up the Case?

Even though three days have passed since this serious incident took place, the police have not arrested the accused, leading to widespread suspicion among the public. The Chintamani Rural Police have gone completely silent after just registering an FIR. Deep suspicions have arisen whether senior police officials are trying to cover up the case despite an assault attempt on a female officer.

Suspicion of Political Pressure!

Severe outrage has been expressed against the conduct of the Chikkaballapura District Superintendent of Police and other senior officers. Looking at the hesitation to arrest the accused, questions are being asked in the public sphere whether the police have succumbed to some influential political pressure.

Furious voices are asking how an active-duty female police officer can expect protection when the department is dilly-dallying, and how such a department will ever protect the common citizens.
