2nd PUC Result Delayed: Board Awaits Election Commission's Approval!

The Model Code of Conduct is currently in effect in the state. Bye-elections for the Davanagere South and Bagalkot Assembly constituencies are scheduled for April 9.

Bengaluru: The Karnataka 2nd PUC result, which was expected to be announced today, has been slightly delayed due to technical reasons. As bye-elections are scheduled in certain constituencies of the state, the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has written to the Election Commission seeking permission to declare the results.

Why is the result postponed?

The Model Code of Conduct is currently in effect in the state. Bye-elections for the Davanagere South and Bagalkot Assembly constituencies are scheduled for April 9. Since the code of conduct is active in these areas, mandatory permission from the Commission is required to officially announce the results. Typically, the results are released during a press conference in the presence of the Education Minister. However, due to the code of conduct, government ministers are prohibited from participating in such events. Keeping these technicalities in mind, the Board is waiting for the green signal from the Election Commission.
