"Mallikarjun Kharge is mentally ill; he should retire from politics immediately": C.T. Ravi lashes out

C.T. Ravi demanded that the Congress party clarify whether Kharge’s statements are his personal views or the party’s official stand. He urged the Election Commission to take immediate action if these remarks represent the party’s position.

Bengaluru: BJP MLC C.T. Ravi has launched a scathing attack against AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge over his recent controversial statements. "Kharge is a veteran leader who has spent six decades in politics. However, his recent remarks lack statesmanship and instead reflect deep-seated hatred and mental instability," Ravi criticized.Speaking to the media in Bengaluru, C.T. Ravi countered every allegation made by Kharge with a series of pointed questions.

Are the people of Karnataka illiterate?

Referring to Kharge’s statement made in Kerala, C.T. Ravi asked, "Kharge claimed that the people of Gujarat are illiterate and that the 'intelligent' people of Kerala have not given the BJP a chance. If we follow his logic, the people of Karnataka have been consistently supporting the BJP since 1998. Does this mean, in Kharge’s view, that the people of Karnataka are also illiterate?"

Is this the Gandhian philosophy?

Objecting to Kharge’s statement comparing the BJP and RSS to a poisonous snake and suggesting they be "killed," Ravi remarked, "You claim to be a follower of Gandhi. Did Gandhiji teach the spreading of hatred? This shows an anti-democratic attitude. Under the 'Hate Speech' bill introduced by the state government, wouldn't Kharge's words be considered a crime?" He further took a dig at the government for its selective stance.

Challenge to ‘Junior Kharge’

Simultaneously mocking Minister Priyank Kharge, C.T. Ravi said, "What does 'Junior Kharge' Priyank have to say about his father's hateful speeches? Mallikarjun Kharge needs rest now. Get him proper treatment and make him retire from politics. Such statements have a negative impact on society."

Does Brahminism mean killing?

Responding to Priyank Kharge’s remarks on 'Brahminism' regarding the Assam CM’s statement, Ravi retorted, "Does Priyank know what Brahminism actually is? We see the essence of Brahminism even in Basavanna. Has Brahminism ever taught anyone to kill? It hasn't, has it?"

Demand to the Election Commission

C.T. Ravi demanded that the Congress party clarify whether Kharge’s statements are his personal views or the party’s official stand. He urged the Election Commission to take immediate action if these remarks represent the party’s position.
