Gadag: A horrific incident occurred at midnight in Doni Tanda of Mundargi Taluk in the district. A mentally unstable man acted like a monster, launching a murderous attack with a wooden club on six people who were sleeping outside their houses.

The perpetrator has been identified as Harjappa Lamani. Following his assault, Tanda residents Eggappa Bhajanenayak, Shekhappa Nayak, Devakka Nayak, Shanmukhappa Rathod, Jagdish Lamani, and Chavallavva Lamani were left lying in a pool of blood with severe injuries.

'Psycho' Attack on Sleeping Residents

At around 1:00 AM, while the residents of the Tanda were in deep sleep, Harjappa suddenly arrived with a club and began thrashing those sleeping in front of their homes indiscriminately. Due to the severity of the attack, the victims began screaming in pain. Hearing their cries, other residents of the Tanda rushed to the spot.

Condition of Some Victims Critical

All six critically injured persons were immediately rushed to Gadag GIMS Hospital for treatment. The victims sustained severe injuries to their heads, eyes, and faces. It is reported that the condition of some remains extremely critical.

Gruesome Act Caught on CCTV

The terrifying footage of the attack carried out by Harjappa has been captured on nearby CCTV cameras. The incident has left the residents of the Tanda in a state of shock and fear. A case has been registered at the Mundargi Police Station, and the police are taking further action.
