BELAGAVI: The viral video controversy involving Jayamruthyunjaya Swamiji of the Panchamasali Peetha has now sparked intense outrage within the community of seers. Veereshwara Swamiji of the Madivaleshwara Matha, located in Deganolli village of Kittur taluk, leveled serious allegations and took Jayamruthyunjaya Sri to task.

Speaking to the media, Veereshwara Swamiji expressed his dissatisfaction, stating that Jayamruthyunjaya Sri, who had gained the community's trust through the 2A reservation protest, has now caused immense embarrassment to the entire Panchamasali community through his personal conduct. "He harbored the arrogance of being the 'Prime Minister' of this Peetha. His excessive ties with political leaders and his thirst for power have brought him to this state today. Because of him, the community has to hang its head in shame today," he lashed out.

Embarrassment for Honest Seers

The Swamiji expressed concern that this incident has damaged not only the Panchamasali community but the entire tradition of monastic heads (Mathadhishas). "Due to such unpleasant incidents, people are beginning to look at honest, humble seers who serve with integrity with suspicion. It is now inevitable for all seers to unite and struggle against those who have harmed our traditions and values," he called out.

Do Not Trust Political Leaders: A Stern Warning

Expressing sadness that the innocence of the Lingayat community is being exploited, the Sri remarked, "If you trust political figures and jump into a struggle, you never know when they will sink you. The Lingayat community supports anyone who stands up to fight, but that trust has now been betrayed."
