BENGALURU: The menace of thieves in the Silicon City is taking on bizarre new forms day by day. In an incident that occurred in Ramakrishna Layout of Sanjay Nagar, thieves wearing helmets pulled off a major heist without leaving a single clue, even as the homeowner was fast asleep inside.

Owner Asleep; Loot Worth ₹9 Lakh Hauled Away!

The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Sanjay Nagar Police Station. The thieves arrived on a bike and committed the crime while wearing helmets to hide their identities. After breaking open the door, the miscreants fled with 160 grams of gold, 50 grams of silver, and ₹5.30 lakh in cash, totaling a staggering ₹9.30 lakh in stolen valuables.

Notably, the owner of the house was sleeping in his room at the time of the burglary. It is a matter of surprise that despite the thieves breaking the door and carrying everything away, the owner did not get even the slightest hint of the intrusion.

A Shock for the Younger Brother!

The theft came to light when the owner’s younger brother returned home a short while later and discovered that the money and jewelry were missing. When he hurriedly woke up his elder brother to ask about it, the brother replied, "I had no idea a theft had even occurred." Shocked by this, the family immediately filed a complaint with the police.

Heist Captured on CCTV

The CCTV cameras captured the thieves arriving on a bike and carrying out their activities inside the house while still wearing their helmets. Based on these visuals, the Sanjay Nagar police have registered a case and launched a manhunt to track down the fleeing criminals. This daring robbery in a populated residential area has caused significant anxiety among local residents.
