The holy site of Adichunchanagiri in Nagamangala taluk, Mandya district, is currently immersed in a wave of celebration. Tomorrow (April 15), Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the shrine to inaugurate the Bhairavaikya Mandira. A major highlight of the visit will be the Prime Minister donning a special Mysore Peta, styled after the attire of the Mysore royalty.
Special Features of the Peta
Renowned Mysore artist Nandan Singh spent five days meticulously crafting this headgear. It is modeled after the Peta traditionally worn by the legendary ruler Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar.Made from premium Banaras fabric, the center of the Peta features the ‘Gandaberunda’—the official royal emblem of the Mysore Kingdom.This artistic creation is being presented to the PM by the ‘Nammuru Nammoru’ service organization, under the guidance of Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji.
Inauguration of Sri Guru Bhairavaikya Mandira
The magnificent ‘Sri Guru Bhairavaikya Mandira’, built in memory of the late seer Paramapujya Dr. Balagangadharanatha Swamiji, is a marvel of Dravidian architecture. The Prime Minister will officially dedicate this temple to the world. To witness this historic moment, a massive stage has been set up at the BGS Stadium, with over one lakh devotees expected to attend.

The details of the Prime Minister’s itinerary are as follows:
Morning: Arrival at HAL Airport, Bengaluru, from Delhi via a special aircraft.
10:50 AM: Departure from HAL by helicopter to reach the Adichunchanagiri helipad.
11:00 AM: Arrival at the Kshetra to inaugurate the Bhairavaikya Mandira.
Afternoon: Addressing the devotees and the public at a massive gathering in the BGS Stadium.
Departure: Return to HAL Airport after the event, followed by a scheduled trip to Kerala.
Security Measures: In light of the Prime Minister’s visit, high-level security has been deployed across the region. Over 2,000 police personnel are on duty to ensure safety. The entire temple town has been beautifully decorated and is glowing like a bride for the occasion.
