Mumbai: The North Star of the Indian musical world, Asha Bhosle (92), who enthralled millions of fans with her voice for over seven decades, passed away in Mumbai on April 12. Suffering from age-related health issues for the past few months, she breathed her last at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital.
An Emotional Farewell
The funeral was conducted with full state honors on April 13 at Mumbai's Shivaji Park Crematorium. Her son, Anand Bhosle, performed the last rites. Dignitaries from the film industry and politicians gathered in large numbers to pay their final respects.
