Mercy Killing or Murder? Bengaluru Man Pushes Ailing Mother to Death to 'End Her Pain'

"I could no longer bear to see the suffering my mother was going through. I took this drastic step to liberate her from a life of hellish agony," the accused reportedly confessed to the police during the investigation.

Bengaluru: A heart-wrenching incident that has shocked the city has unfolded in Rajarajeshwari Nagar (RR Nagar). Unable to witness the prolonged agony of his bedridden, paralytic mother, a son allegedly murdered her by pushing her from the fourth floor of their building.

Details of the Incident:

The victim has been identified as Savitramma (75), a resident of BEML Layout 3rd Stage in RR Nagar. The police have arrested her son, C. Venkatesh (alias Dasharath), in connection with the case. Venkatesh, who works for a private company, had reportedly been caring for his mother for the last three years.

The Motive Behind the Act:

Savitramma had been suffering from a stroke for the past three years. Despite Venkatesh taking her to several hospitals, her health showed no signs of improvement. Seeing his mother in constant physical pain and misery every day had reportedly left Venkatesh mentally devastated. "I could no longer bear to see the suffering my mother was going through. I took this drastic step to liberate her from a life of hellish agony," the accused reportedly confessed to the police during the investigation.
