Darshan Thoogudeepa’s former manager Mallikarjun had not been seen publicly for many years. Since 2018, he was reportedly missing, and allegations of debt and fraud had also surfaced. During the conference, he also responded to the old controversy surrounding Prema Baraha. The film, produced and directed by Arjun Sarja, was distributed by Mallikarjun. He claimed mistakes happened in the financial accounts related to distribution. According to him, the problem arose because accounts prepared by the accountant of Thoogudeepa Distributions were given to Arjun Sarja without proper verification.

However, accountant Deepak has denied these allegations. He said Mallikarjun himself handled all company affairs. He clarified that while he wrote accounts as instructed, it is false to say he prepared wrong accounts on his own.
