BENGALURU: The pothole menace of the Silicon City is known to the world. Countless citizens are exhausted from filing complaints with officials to no avail. However, Akhila Hemadri, a Bengaluru-based entrepreneur, decided to take matters into his own hands. But it is the unique method he chose to fix the road that has left the entire internet in shock!
Mixing Cement on a Porsche Bonnet!
In a now-viral video, Akhila Hemadri arrives at a spot in his luxury Porsche worth crores. Upon spotting a massive pothole on the road, he unloads construction materials, including cement and sand, from his car. What stunned viewers was that he didn't use any container or the ground to mix the materials. Instead, he used the front bonnet of his luxury Porsche as a platform! He mixed the cement directly on the bonnet, poured it into the pothole, and neatly leveled it out.
A Lesson in Civic Responsibility
Sharing the video of his stunt on social media, Hemadri delivered a message on civic responsibility. His vision is that instead of waiting for officials or blaming the system, citizens should take the initiative to make small improvements whenever possible.
Debate Sparks on Social Media
As the video went viral, netizens shared mixed reactions:
Praise: "Your heart is bigger than the price of the car. Great to see someone fixing roads without the ego of owning a luxury vehicle," some commented.
Criticism: Others opined, "Mixing cement on the bonnet looks like a publicity stunt; it's harmful to the car and unnecessary."
Regardless of the debate, the bitter truth remains: Bengaluru's pothole crisis has reached a point where even millionaires are hitting the streets to fix them.
