On Tuesday, a resolution indorsing Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir for the Nobel Peace Prize was submitted in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. It came recognizing their role in easing regional tensions in West Asia, through diplomacy and was moved by Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) lawmaker Farah Khan.

The resolution expressed appreciation for the leadership of Sharif and Munir, stressing their “visionary leadership, strategic foresight, and tireless diplomatic efforts”.

The text claims Pakistan has contributed peace in international level with its diplomacy and has taken optimal effort to stabilise the region.
