The ED alleges, Mohammed Haris Nalapad, Omar Farook Nalapad and Aqeeb Khan were close associates and primary beneficiaries of financial gains generated by the notorious hacker Srikrishna Ramesh (alias Sriki).

Investigators claim Sriki used to hack international websites and crypto wallets to steal virtual digital assets. These were then sold through different trading platforms, and the resulting funds were routed through various bank accounts, including those of the Nalapad brothers, to conceal the origin of the money. ED claims around 4.5 crores is transacted in this cycle.

However, the 21-hour search at Nalpad’s residence, Mohammed Haris Nalapad (former Karnataka Youth Congress President) addressed the media and said despite grilling him for 21 hours ED has not established any evidence, as there is none to prove.
