HOSAPETE (VIJAYANAGARA): Former Minister B. Sriramulu has lashed out at the state government, claiming that public anger against the Congress is reaching a breaking point and the government's downfall is imminent. Speaking to the media in Hosapete, Vijayanagara district, he launched a fierce attack on CM Siddaramaiah and the administration's failures.
The 'AHINDA' Drama to Save the Chair
"Dissent within the Congress party is growing by the day. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah only remembers the 'AHINDA' (minorities, backward classes, and Dalits) cause when his seat starts to shake. Now, he is heading to Delhi to organize an AHINDA convention just to secure his position. For what great achievement is he holding this convention?" Sriramulu questioned. He further mocked the CM, stating, "Siddaramaiah has become a 'one or two-day' Chief Minister."
Summer Crisis and Administrative Failure
Expressing concern over the current state of Karnataka, he said, "The state is reeling under a severe heatwave, and people are struggling without drinking water. Cattle are dying. Yet, the government is indifferent to the people's suffering and is busy only with political conventions."
Bellary Tree Felling: Threat of a Private Case
Regarding the felling of trees in Bellary without permission, Sriramulu warned, "A massacre of trees is taking place illegally in Bellary. I will file a private case in court against this unauthorized destruction." He further alleged that the law and order situation in the state has completely collapsed.
Reservation Issue: "Ugrappa Uncle, Speak the Truth"
Accusing the Congress of betraying the SC/ST communities regarding reservations, he threw a direct challenge to V.S. Ugrappa. "V.S. Ugrappa is like an uncle to me. Uncle, you must speak the truth now. Reveal how the Congress has cheated the people on the reservation issue," he said. He also criticized Priyank Kharge for celebrating the "success" of the reservation policy, calling it a fraud against the public. Sriramulu argued that the anti-incumbency wave and the confusion surrounding reservations would ultimately lead to the collapse of the Congress government.
