Chhattisgarh: The tragic IED explosion occurred in the forest area of Kanker district in Chhattisgarh, today, May,2.
The explosion claimed, three District Reserve Guard (DRG) personnel and left another critically injured.
The incident happened near the Narayanpur district border under the jurisdiction of the Chhotebethiya police station. The fatalities occurred during a demining operation specifically aimed at clearing remaining threats in the Bastar range. The security team detected an IED that had been planted by Naxalites in the past. The device detonated unexpectedly while the personnel were in the process of neutralising it.
The victims are Inspector Sukhram Vatti, Constable Krishna Komra, Constable Sanjay Gadhpale, and Constable Parmanand Komra (Critically injured and presently undergoing medical treatment).
