Siddaramaiah Deceiving in the Name of AHINDA: Former CM Basavaraj Bommai Lashes Out at State Government..!

This meeting has sparked a new debate regarding reservation in state politics, and the BJP is preparing for a massive protest against the government in the coming days.

Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has criticized the state's Congress government, alleging it is committing a grave injustice against the SC, ST, and OBC communities. Speaking after an informal meeting held today in Bengaluru with key party leaders, he launched a scathing attack against Siddaramaiah’s administration.

Politics in the Name of AHINDA

Bommai alleged that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is playing politics in the name of AHINDA.

He accused the CM of doing an injustice to the very classes from whom he sought support to come to power.

He further noted that despite Supreme Court rulings and reports from various commissions regarding the implementation of internal reservation, the government is hesitating to take action.

Why the Delay in Implementing Internal Reservation?

Bommai pointed out that while several states have already taken steps to implement internal reservation, it is being delayed only in Karnataka. Recalling his tenure as CM, he stated that they had discussed the Nagamohan Das Committee report in an all-party meeting and obtained approval. As a result, 1,400 additional SC/ST students are now receiving seats.

He expressed disappointment that this government is not following the Supreme Court's orders, the Sadashiva Commission report, or the Madhuswamy Committee report.

Allegations of Violating Supreme Court Orders

Bommai accused the government of creating conflict between communities. He claimed that although the government stated they would set the SC reservation at 15%, they failed to present a proper argument in court. He asserted that this government has violated Supreme Court orders and stated that his party has decided to create public awareness about this issue.

Decision to Protest

The BJP has decided to fight to ensure true justice for the SC, ST, and OBC communities.

Bommai clarified that a team—including the Party State President, the Leader of the Opposition, Govind Karajol, N. Ravikumar, and N. Mahesh—has decided to organize a protest against the government.

The next steps of this struggle will be determined in consultation with the State President.
