Chikkaballapur: A cinematic-style robbery case has come to light in Gauribidanur town. Miscreants who robbed ₹7.5 lakh from a man by throwing chilly powder into his eyes and threatening him with lethal weapons were sent to jail by the police within just two hours.
Details of the Incident:
Shivashankar Aradhya, a resident of Vinayaka Layout in Gauribidanur, was carrying ₹7.5 lakh with the intention of purchasing a car. During this time, two miscreants arriving on a bike threw chilly powder into Shivashankar’s eyes, threatened him with a machete, and fled with the cash.
Robbery Sketched by a Relative:
Investigation revealed that the mastermind behind this robbery was Yashwant Aradhya, a relative of Shivashankar Aradhya. Yashwant had convinced Shivashankar that "buying a car would yield high profits" and subsequently informed his friends about the timing of the money transfer. He then planned the robbery along with his associates.
Accused Caught in the Khaki Net:
Within a few hours of the robbery, PSI Lalithamma and the staff of the Gauribidanur Town Police Station conducted an operation and successfully arrested four accused individuals.
Arrestees: Yashwant Aradhya, Bharat, Darshan, and Vishakanta.
The case has been registered under the jurisdiction of the Gauribidanur Town Police Station, and the police are conducting further investigations. The fact that a relative plotted a robbery for money has left the public in shock.
