New Delhi: In a surprising political alignment, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has vocally admired a call for dialogue with Pakistan initiated by Dattatreya Hosabale, the General Secretary of RSS.
This progress occurred on May 14, 2026, against the environment of the ongoing BRICS conclave in New Delhi and a persistent deadlock in India-Pakistan relations. W for Woman Floral Printed Rayon Straight Kurta
Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Abdullah expressed his relief that even those within the RSS are now advocating for diplomatic engagement.
"It is a very big move that the RSS leader has said that there should be talks with Pakistan, and the ex-Army chief (Narvane) has also backed his statement. I am glad that somebody is now thinking that war is not an option. It is the question of dialogue, which we must always have to solve our problems," the NC president said.
Abdullah expressed the sentiment that while political and military leadership in Pakistan may have lost India's trust, people-to-people contact and civil society engagement must lead the way to rebuild confidence.
That’s very positive of Abdullah, but will they reciprocate? And what if they reciprocate with the bombs and terror attacks. Its no longer a secrete, its just not Mulla Munir and Sharief who are terrorists, that country is infected with terrorism, after all their military authorities over seven decades have made every layman of Pakistan a terrorist and the fundamentalist. Earlier, Dattatreya Hosabale suggested in an interview that "there should always be a window for dialogue”. While upholding that national security is paramount, he noted that cultural and civil society relations should be emphasized because "we have been one nation." He suggested that trade, visas, and even sporting events (like cricket) could continue to break the standoff. No Safe Haven: Shera’s Extradition Proves India’s Global Reach is Non-Negotiable
No matter who says what, RSS or BJP or even NCP, once you interact with Pakistan, the only thing India gets is trouble.
Imperatively, why should we talk with those creeps when we don’t need anything from them. They are not relevant in the contemporary world. It’s not even worth hating them, just ignore them, treat them as if they don’t exist.
