Raisani, an important commander associated with Lashkar networks, was killed by unknown armed men in Quetta, Baluchistan. His body was recovered shortly after the attack, triggering a localized security alert.

The perpetrators managed to flee the scene immediately after the targeted shooting, following a pattern consistent with the ongoing wave of covert assassinations striking militant leadership across Pakistan.

This assassination is part of a much broader and highly systematic campaign that has been executed over the last few years. The killing makes additional layers of complexity due to the victim's tribal background and the location of the hit. He belongs to the influential Raisani tribe of Baluchistan, his involvement in religious militancy or state-backed counter-insurgency "death squads", often locally referred to as Lashkars, creates a multi-dimensional conflict.
