In connection with the alleged burial of bodies in Dharmasthala, JDS State Vice President Sudhakar S Shetty shared his strong opinion during his recent visit to the temple town while speaking with InsightRush.

He stated that the sanctity of the temple is being tarnished under the pretext of this case. The claim about bones being found is part of a larger conspiracy to defame this sacred place. Sudhakar Shetty further clarified that there was no cremation ground at the location before 2013. Due to the frequent suicides that occurred in the area, unidentified bodies were handled by police and local authorities at the time. This is not unique to Dharmasthala - there are several such places across Karnataka where similar practices were followed.

Hence, the accusation that "1000 murders" took place is a complete fabrication. This is nothing short of a large-scale conspiracy against the sacred Dharmasthala Shri Manjunatha Swamy Temple. It is an attack on people’s faith and devotion.
