A tragic accident occurred near Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, when a CRPF vehicle plunged into a gorge, resulting in the martyrdom of three soldiers. Several other soldiers traveling in the vehicle sustained serious injuries.
The accident took place at approximately 10:30 a.m. today. The vehicle, belonging to the 187th Battalion, was traveling from Khandwa to Basantgarh with 18 soldiers on board. Local residents assisted in the rescue operation to save the soldiers trapped in the gorge.
Rescue efforts are ongoing, and officials are in contact with the relevant authorities.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh offered his condolences on social media to the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. He confirmed that a rescue operation was initiated immediately, and he has spoken with the district collectors to ensure appropriate measures are taken.
