One Year Jail Stay Fixed for Darshan? His New Prisoner Number Revealed!?

Supreme Court cancels bail for Darshan and co-accused in the Renukaswamy murder case, potentially locking him behind bars for a year. Here’s what his new prisoner life will look like - from cell facilities to food and daily routine.

Bengaluru: In the Chitradurga Renukaswamy murder case, speculation is rife that actor Darshan, Pavithra Gowda, and five others may remain behind bars for the next year. The reason? According to legal experts, there is little scope to challenge the division bench’s criminal case order again, except under medical or emergency grounds. Even if filmmakers approach the court for shooting schedules, the case being a cognizable offence means the court is unlikely to entertain it. As of now, any appeal in connection with the court’s order will require at least a year’s time.


Prisoner Number:

Life Inside Prison:
As an undertrial prisoner, Darshan is not obligated to work, but can choose to do so. If he agrees, he could be assigned tasks like arranging books in the library or working as an attendant in the prison clinic.



Food Arrangements:

VVIP Cell:
For security reasons, Darshan will be kept in a VVIP cell, equipped with a TV and reading material. He will also have access to exercise, yoga, meditation, and a 200–300 meter walking space within the premises.
