Kannada cinema is gearing up for yet another spectacular historical film. In the mega-budget movie Halagali, actor Dolly Dhananjay takes the lead role, while Sapthami Gowda, known for Kantara, stars as the female lead. Their pairing has already created a buzz among cinephiles.
The film is directed by Sukesh DK and produced by Ballari-based young entrepreneur Kalyan Chakravarthy Dhoolipalla under the banner Duhar Movies. Kalyan, who has previously distributed over 20 Kannada and Telugu films, including the Telugu movie Rachayata, brings his expertise to this project.

Halagali is based on the valiant efforts of pre-independence warriors from Karnataka, particularly the first guerrilla warfare led by the hunters of Halagali village against the British. With thrilling scenes of battles involving bows, arrows, explosives, and guns, the film aims to revive the immortal pages of Kannada history.
