The bill intends to introduce a new sub-section (5A) under Section 54, stipulating that a Chief Minister or Minister held in custody for more than 30 days on charges of an offense carrying a punishment of five years or more will be removed from their post on the 31st day by the Lieutenant Governor, based on the Chief Minister's advice.
