Once Again, the 40% Commission Allegation Rocks Karnataka… But This Time Not Against BJP, It’s Against Congress! Who Made the Claim?

At a contractors’ event in Shivamogga on Tuesday, Manjunath alleged that over ₹32,000 crore remains unpaid across 9 departments in the last 2–3 years, accusing the Congress government of escalating corruption levels.

The Karnataka Contractors’ Association president, Manjunath, has leveled serious allegations claiming that corruption under the Congress government has crossed the infamous 40% commission mark. Speaking at an event in Shivamogga, he charged that corruption is now worse than it was under the previous BJP government.Jogi Prem Cheated of Lakhs? The contractors’ association itself has revealed this information, painting the Congress administration as a hub of corruption. Manjunath alleged that during BJP’s tenure, commissions stood at 40%, but under Congress, the rates have skyrocketed. From foundation stone-laying ceremonies to final bill payments, commission demands dominate the process, he said.

The statement was made during a felicitation ceremony organized by the Irrigation Corporation, Tunga Upper Bank, and Bhadra Contractors’ Struggle Committee in Shivamogga, where Manjunath was honored.Border 2 Poster Released... Fans Go Gaga Over Sunny Deol’s Soldier Look!

He further revealed that ₹32,000 crore has remained unpaid to contractors over the past 2–3 years across 9 government departments, pushing many contractors into deep financial crisis. While most bills remain unpaid, a select few receive payments only after paying 20% commission, Manjunath alleged.

He also noted that local contractors and representatives are heavily entangled in this commission nexus. “Some officials agree to attend events or ceremonies only after negotiations,” he remarked, highlighting the gravity of the situation. Taking a veiled swipe at Urban Development Minister Bhyrathi Suresh, Manjunath said only a handful of favored contractors are being awarded projects in Bengaluru, often at rates below the standard."Is it possible to live without me?" This, he claimed, exposes the true picture of favoritism and commission-driven contracts under the Congress regime. Overall, the contractors’ explosive revelations have painted the state government as deeply corrupt, giving fresh ammunition to the opposition parties.
