BJP MLC C.T. Ravi alleged that while the government is holding Sadhana Samavesha using public tax money, its actual achievements are negligible. Speaking to the media at the Vidhana Soudha premises, he launched a scathing attack on the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government.
Ravi accused the government, which lacks the competence to even fill a pothole, of using taxpayers’ money to hold conventions and pat itself on the back. He described the government’s administrative achievements as a “big zero.”
He further claimed that the Congress government has no respect for the Constitution. If it did, it would fund such conventions from the party’s own office funds, he challenged. If the government had truly achieved something, the public would be praising it, but instead, people are criticizing it, Ravi remarked.
Ravi also alleged that the government has misused SCPTSP (Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Sub-Plan) funds and stopped scholarships for students. He clarified that any government is merely a trustee of the state treasury, not its owner. He emphasized that no one would object if the Congress held conventions using its own party funds, but using public money for self-glorification is condemnable.
