Even though the truth was in plain sight, certain historians deliberately denied it to appease a section of society. Just as Mecca is sacred to Muslims and Jerusalem is sacred to Christians, Hindus too have their holy sites. But when a temple is demolished centuries ago and a mosque built on its ruins - with temple walls, inscriptions, idols, and pillars still visibly intact - how can it still be considered only a mosque? The tragedy is that even with clear evidence, Hindus had to fight legal battles to prove their own heritage.

Dr. K.K. Muhammed, former Regional Director of ASI and part of the Ayodhya excavation team, revealed in his autobiography Njaan Enna Bharatiyan ("I, an Indian") that the Muslim community was initially willing for a settlement. However, a group of leftist historians, including Romila Thapar, Bipan Chandra, and S. Gopal, manipulated the narrative and misled the Babri Masjid Action Committee (BMAC). They argued that there was no historical record of the Ram Mandir demolition in the 19th century and even claimed Ayodhya was a Buddhist-Jain center. This false assurance changed the course of events and hardened Muslim resistance.
The same dilemma continues today. At Gyanvapi too, the pillars, walls, and idols clearly reveal their Hindu origin. Yet, political agendas overshadow truth. While mosques in Muslim-majority nations are relocated for development projects without controversy, in India even genuine historical evidence is suppressed.Successful Test of India’s Most Powerful Agni-5 Missile: Capable of Reaching Northern China
The question remains: why do vested interests distort history and sow division, instead of allowing reconciliation and truth to prevail?
