"Ashoka's remarks were in response to Siddaramaiah's participation in the "Vote Adhikar" rally alongside Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who had alleged electoral fraud in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Siddaramaiah had claimed that he was defeated through fraudulent means in the 1991 Koppal Lok Sabha election, a statement Ashoka cited to accuse the Congress of fostering a culture of vote rigging.
