Is Darshan's Transfer to Ballari Jail Confirmed? Lawyers Fear He Might Tamper with Evidence if Kept Here!

The 57th Sessions Court has rejected the bail application of Pavithra Gowda, an accused in the Renukaswamy murder case. Meanwhile, the police's application to transfer actor Darshan from Parappana Agrahara Jail to Ballari Jail is still pending, raising curiosity about the next stages of the case.

In the Renukaswamy murder case, the 57th Sessions Court has dismissed the bail application of accused Pavithra Gowda, marking another setback for her. Previously, the Supreme Court had also canceled her bail.

Pavithra Gowda’s lawyers argued that despite the submission of the chargesheet, she was arrested under non-existent IPC and CrPC sections. However, the court rejected this plea. The government lawyers strongly opposed granting bail for any reason.

At the same time, the police have filed an application to transfer actor Darshan from Parappana Agrahara Jail to Ballari Jail. This application is yet to be heard. Darshan’s lawyers had requested provisions for home-cooked food, a pillow, and bedding, and the hearings for both applications are still pending.

The police have cited administrative and security reasons for requesting Darshan’s transfer to Ballari. However, Darshan’s lawyers have submitted written objections, stating that it would be difficult for them to meet him and that bringing him for hearings would pose significant challenges.

The police have argued that since Darshan is an influential accused, there is a risk of him influencing witnesses. Previously, when Darshan was in Parappana Agrahara Jail, allegations of him receiving luxurious facilities surfaced, prompting government lawyers to request that the accused be transferred back to the jail they were in before being granted bail.

The Supreme Court had also reprimanded authorities regarding the facilities provided to prisoners in this case. These developments have sparked curiosity about the next stages of Darshan’s case.
