Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films' seventh production, Lokah – Chapter One: Chandra, has created history at the box office. In just seven days, the film has grossed ₹101 crore globally, earning the distinction of being the highest-grossing female-led film in South Indian cinema.
With record-breaking collections both within and outside Kerala, Lokah is rewriting the rules for regional superhero narratives. Directed and written by Dominic Arun, this big-budget fantasy-action film stars Kalyani Priyadarshan in the titular role of Chandra, alongside Naslen and Sandy.
Inspired by the legendary tale of Kalliyankattu Neeli, the film introduces audiences to a dazzling new superhero cinematic universe. The Telugu and Tamil versions are performing strongly, and the Hindi version is set to release on September 4.

In Kerala alone, the film is being screened in over 1,400 shows daily, with many shows running housefull, reflecting unprecedented audience support. The cast includes Chandu Salimkumar, Arun Kurian, Sarath Sabha, Nishanth Sagar, and Vijayaraghavan, with several cameo appearances earning fans' appreciation.

Distributed across India by major distributors such as AGS Cinemas in Tamil Nadu, Lighter Buddha Films in Karnataka, Pen Marudhar in North India, and Sitaara Entertainments in Telugu markets, the film is achieving success on a pan-India level.
Behind the scenes, the film boasts top-tier talent with Nimish Ravi handling cinematography, Jakes Bejoy composing the music, Chaman Chakko editing, and Banglan overseeing production design. Jom Varghese and Bibin Perumbally serve as executive producers.
