Speaking at a high-level meeting held at Vidhana Soudha on Friday, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that in 2025, Mysore Dasara will be celebrated for 11 days. He highlighted that a rare Panchami tithi alignment will occur on September 26 and 27, an event that has not happened in nearly four centuries.

Traditionally, Dasara lasts 9 or 10 days. This year’s extension is based on the lunar calendar, as the dates of Mysore Palace festivals are determined according to the Panchanga and lunar days.
