Bengaluru: A dispute broke out between the staff of a Vayu Vajra bus and two passengers in the Mahadevapura police station area. The passengers, who were reportedly from North India, insisted that the bus stop at a location shown on Google Maps, even though it was not an official bus stop.
The bus driver and conductor tried to explain that it was not a designated stop and they could not stop there. This angered the passengers, who allegedly forced the bus to stop in the middle of the road at night and started arguing with the staff.

The BMTC staff clarified that Vayu Vajra buses only stop at specific, designated stops, not just anywhere. After a video of the incident was shared online, netizens became angry with the North Indian passengers for their behavior and for not speaking Kannada.
The incident further escalated because of a language barrier. The bus staff, who reportedly did not know Hindi, asked the passengers to speak in Kannada. The passengers later made a video and shared it on social media, accusing the staff of swearing at them in Kannada and creating a scene over the language barrier, which has only added fuel to the controversy.
