New Delhi [India], September 11, 2025: The Supreme Court of India has dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking to cancel the India-Pakistan T20 cricket match scheduled for September 14, 2025, in Dubai as part of the Asia Cup T20 tournament. The bench, comprising Justices J.K. Maheshwari and Vijay Bishnoi, stated, "Let the match go on."
The PIL, filed through advocates Sneha Rani, Abhishek Verma, and Md Anas Chaudhary, requested urgent intervention to cancel the India-Pakistan T20 match, arguing that hosting such a game after the Pahalgam attack and 'Operation Sindoor' would send a wrong message regarding national pride and public sentiment. The petitioners contended that cricket should not take precedence over national interest, citizens' lives, or the sacrifices of soldiers. They also sought directions to enforce the National Sports Governance Act, 2025.Handcuffs Backpacks Vegan Leather Casual Backpack Multipurpose Travelling Bags Daypacks For Men And Women
