Bengaluru - Deputy CM DK Shivakumar Announces ₹1,100 Crore for Pothole-Free Roads.!

Deputy CM Shivakumar shared the news on his X (formerly Twitter) account, stating, "This initiative marks a significant improvement in Bengaluru's road infrastructure. We have allocated ₹1,100 crore for repairs and construction, and we are committed to ensuring every assembly constituency benefits from this fund to create pothole-free roads across the city."

In a major move to tackle the city's severe pothole problem, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has announced a ₹1,100 crore investment for road repair and development. The initiative aims to create pothole-free roads and ensure smooth traffic flow across the city.

Under this plan, 14 assembly constituencies will each receive ₹50 crore, while other areas will get ₹25 crore for new road construction and maintenance. This announcement comes as a significant relief to citizens who have been grappling with the aftermath of heavy rains. A recent survey by the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GAB) revealed that many potholes were poorly patched with uneven cement or weak barricades, which quickly deteriorated with the rain, worsening the situation.
