Dharmasthala: Vithal Gowda’s statements have sparked intense discussions about the possibility of exhumation in Bangle Gudda. The SIT is preparing to continue the investigation. The case of the buried body in Dharmasthala has generated significant intrigue. SIT chief Pranab Mohanty held an important meeting with the investigation team today. Although the SIT typically considers Sunday a rest day, the meeting was convened due to the serious nature of the statements provided by Vithal Gowda, the father-in-law of Soujanya.

Previously, a person named Chinnayya had made similar claims, causing significant confusion. However, when the SIT conducted an investigation, no additional skeletons were found, and Chinnayya was arrested for providing false information. Based on Vithal Gowda’s statement this time, discussions about conducting exhumation in Bangle Gudda took place during the meeting. Pranab Mohanty visited Belthangady and held extensive consultations with the investigation team. According to sources, exhumation had already been conducted at 17 locations. The Bangle Gudda forest area was identified as Point 11A. Since no significant evidence was found during the initial exhumation, this site was previously abandoned. However, some skeletons were collected and sent to the forensic laboratory.With the district administration’s permission and prior approval from the forest department, discussions are underway to conduct exhumation in Bangle Gudda. SIT officials are reportedly keen on carrying out the exhumation at this location. It is understood that exhumation is necessary to verify the authenticity of Vithal Gowda’s statements.
