Kavatagimath criticized the government’s caste survey list, which reportedly includes 46 Hindu sub-castes under the Christian category, labeling it as unscientific and unjust, similar to the previously discarded Kantharaju report from 2014-15.

He accused the Congress of orchestrating a divisive strategy to undermine Hindu unity. Demanding an immediate retraction of the order, he called for corrective action to rectify the alleged error.Waqf Amendment Act 2025: Supreme Court’s significant verdict… temporary stay on key sections!

The Hindu Janajagruti Vedike has strongly condemned the move, warning of intense protests if the government does not remove the term "Christian" from the list.

A meeting of leaders from the 46 affected communities has been scheduled for September 17 at Gandhi Bhavan in Belagavi to discuss the issue further. Kavatagimath emphasized that the government’s intentions are clear in the survey’s design, despite its 15-day duration, and urged authorities to act swiftly to avoid escalating tensions.Supreme Court to Deliver Verdict on Monday on Pleas Seeking Stay of Waqf (Amendment) Act 2025: Here is the Background Details
