September 27: Call for a Voluntary Class Boycott by Government Degree Students!

The future of thousands of degree students is in jeopardy due to the government's delay in appointing guest lecturers to government degree colleges across the state. Despite several appeals to resolve this issue, the government has not provided any positive response. In protest, the AIDSO Karnataka State Committee has called for a voluntary class boycott on September 27 for all government degree students in the state.

For the past two months, classes have not been conducted properly in government colleges due to the shortage of lecturers. During the same period, private colleges have completed their syllabus, internal exams, and are preparing for semester exams. However, students from poor and rural backgrounds are the ones facing this problem.PALAY® Straw Hat Sun Hats for Women,Wide Brim Cap Beach Hat for Women Stylish UV Protection Cap,Summer Packable Travel Sun Visor Hat - UPF 50+

The AIDSO State Committee expresses serious concern about this. It is not right to treat government college students as second-class citizens. According to the Supreme Court's verdict, following UGC guidelines is not mandatory. If the state government wishes, it can resolve this crisis immediately. However, AIDSO believes the government is adopting a negligent attitude. Also Read: Kerala High Court Orders Probe Completion in 4 Months Over Unauthorized Fund Collection for Idol Installation at Sabarimala

For the past few weeks, more than 5,000 students have been protesting for justice in over 20 districts across the state. Despite this, the government's negligent attitude continues. Therefore, to protect their right to education, students are intensifying this struggle and calling for a class boycott. They are ready to send a clear message to the government about their future.

The AIDSO State Committee condemns the state government for causing inequality between students of private and government colleges.
