At the Dharma Jagruti Sammavesha held in Channagiri, Davanagere district, MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal expressed strong outrage against several political leaders, including former Chief Ministers Yediyurappa and Basavaraj Bommai, Shamanuru Shivashankarappa, Eshwarappa, the Madal family, and former Home Minister Araga Jnanendra.
Yatnal declared that if he becomes Chief Minister, he would take the oath with a JCB machine, symbolically emphasizing his intent to take bold action. While speaking about his visit to Channagiri, he indirectly criticized the Madal family, noting that some had promised to serve him with a broom if he visited, yet no one followed through. He accused Yediyurappa and his son of engaging in corruption, alleging that Yediyurappa looted the state earlier and is now enabling his son to do the same. Yatnal further stated that despite being expelled from the BJP, Amit Shah brought him back to the party, but Yediyurappa ensured he did not become a minister. He questioned why he could not become Chief Minister, pointing out that others who faced expulsion in the state had achieved the position. Yatnal also criticized Yediyurappa, Shamanuru, and Khandre families for exploiting the Veerashaiva-Lingayat community for their political gains, despite claims that the community is united.
