Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez is back in the headlines. In connection with the ₹200 crore Sukesh Chandrashekhar fraud case, she has approached the Supreme Court with a plea to quash the FIR and criminal proceedings filed against her.

In the earlier court proceedings, the special court had already considered the charge sheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Accordingly, the High Court rejected Jacqueline's petition, sources said.
Jacqueline's lawyers have argued that the gifts she received from Sukesh were purchased with proceeds of crime. Even though the actress has no connection to money transfers or the fraud, she has been implicated in the case, they stated.
The actress wants to come out of this case and clear her reputation to prevent negative impact on her career. Several entrepreneurs have accused Sukesh of fraud.Superstar Mohanlal Wins Dada Saheb Phalke Award: What Did PM Modi Say with Joy?
