Five guest lecturers at Bengaluru University have been booked for allegedly sexually harassing a female colleague. The accused, identified as Ramanjaneya, Jagannath, Rangaswamy, Swaroop Kumar, and Shivaram from the PG Centre at the university's Jnana Bharati campus in Ramanagara, have been named in an FIR filed at the Jnana Bharathi Police Station. The case has since been transferred to the Aijur Police Station in Ramanagara.
According to the complaint filed by the woman, she was subjected to mental harassment and sexual harassment for a long time. She alleges that she had previously complained about them, but was fired on false charges. Her complaint states that the accused used abusive language, demanded sexual favors, and threatened to abduct her if she did not comply. The FIR was filed following her demand for legal action against the accused. This incident has brought to light several videos of the lecturers engaging in inappropriate behavior, which have since gone viral on social media.
