The 5% tax on milk, bread, chapati, roti, and paneer has been reduced to zero. The 18% tax on parotta and other types of bread has also been brought down to zero. Similarly, the 18% tax on hair oil, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shaving cream, and other such items has been lowered to 5%. The tax on all vehicles, previously at 28%, has been reduced to 18%. However, the tax on caffeinated beverages and alcoholic products has been increased from 18% to 40%.
