Comet is designed to provide a superior browsing experience. Its key feature is the integration of an AI-based response system directly into the browser, offering a seamless and fully AI-driven experience. Alongside Comet, Perplexity has also released the Email Assistant, an AI-driven tool designed to manage email tasks.

The world of technology takes another step forward with the launch of Perplexity AI's Comet browser and Email Assistant tool. These new AI-powered features are now available to users of Perplexity AI's Pro and Max plans in India. The Comet browser, which was first introduced in July, is currently available for Mac and Windows devices. Android users can pre-order the app on the Google Play Store, although an official release date has not been shared.

According to a post by the company's CEO, Aravind Srinivas, on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Comet is designed to provide a superior browsing experience. Its key feature is the integration of an AI-based response system directly into the browser, offering a seamless and fully AI-driven experience. The browser includes a powerful AI-powered sidebar assistant that helps users navigate through multiple tabs and projects. For instance, this assistant can effortlessly share delivery times from e-commerce websites.

Alongside Comet, Perplexity has also released the Email Assistant, an AI-driven tool designed to manage email tasks. This assistant prioritizes tasks, helps with scheduling, sorts emails, and automatically drafts replies, significantly streamlining email management for users. To get started, users need to visit the perplexity.ai/comet website and download the application based on their Windows or Mac system. After installation, they can sign in to their Perplexity account and begin using the Comet browser. Perplexity has stated that the Comet browser will be made available to more users in the future and that additional features will be added to further enhance its capabilities. This move is seen as a challenge to traditional browsers like Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome, promising a more intelligent and efficient browsing experience.
