Chief Minister Siddaramaiah held a meeting to address the delays in the caste-based survey caused by technical glitches. During his discussion with officials, he instructed that the survey covering the state's population must be completed by October 7. He also issued necessary directions to the Backward Classes Commission to support the process effectively.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has held a meeting and issued strict instructions to officials to accelerate the state's caste-based survey process, which had been delayed due to technical glitches. Following discussions with key administrators, the Chief Minister has mandated that the survey, covering the entire population of Karnataka, must be completed by October 7. Necessary directives have also been issued to the Backward Classes Commission.

The state government is moving forward with the Social, Educational, and Economic Survey (commonly known as the Caste Survey) following a significant ruling by the High Court. While the survey had already commenced, it encountered various technical hurdles that slowed its progress. To overcome this, CM Siddaramaiah today directed officials to significantly expedite the process.

The Chief Minister conducted a video conference meeting with Ministers, Deputy Commissioners (DCs), and Zilla Panchayat CEOs to address the slow pace of the survey. After receiving status updates from all DCs, he provided necessary instructions on the required steps to be taken. During the meeting, which was attended by key Ministers, Backward Classes Commission Chairman Madhusudan Nayak, and Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh, the CM directed the resolution of all technical issues to speed up the survey work across the state.

Following the meeting, the Chief Minister provided an update on the progress, stating that the survey is intended to cover the entire seven crore population of Karnataka as planned. He confirmed that instructions have been given to resolve technical defects and that the decision was made to complete the survey by October 7. He also mentioned that the Backward Classes Commission has been notified of this timeline.
