Prajwal Revanna, who was sentenced to life imprisonment in a sexual assault case, has challenged the verdict by filing an appeal with the High Court. In his petition, Revanna alleges that the FIR was filed using the woman as a political tool with malicious intent.

• Contradiction of Events: Revanna pointed out that the same woman who filed the complaint had participated in his farmhouse housewarming ceremony in 2023. He questioned how the woman could have attended the event if the alleged rape had occurred.

• Delay in Filing Complaint: The appeal highlights that the police accepted the woman's complaint three years after the alleged incident took place.

• Dispute Over Evidence (Clothing): Revanna disputed the discovery of a bag allegedly containing clothing and hair found in a storeroom. He argued that the woman did not identify the bag, and the claim that the woman's clothes were found in a room containing batteries and paint is untrue. He further questioned how semen-stained clothes could be found in a locked room.

• Missing Evidence and Testimony: Revanna claimed there is no clarity regarding the mystery of the hair being wrapped and placed in the bag. He also noted that the woman's CrPC 164 statement (recorded before a magistrate) was not produced in court, and the mobile phone allegedly containing the videos was not seized.

• FSL Report Discrepancies: The appeal asserts that the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report contains several contradictions.
