A special meeting was held today at Vikas Soudha under the chairmanship of Labour Minister Santosh Lad, with the aim of addressing the issues faced by contract-based employees. Discussions were held with contractors and entrepreneurs from industrial and commercial establishments, and important decisions were taken regarding the basic facilities and rights to be provided to the workers.

Bengaluru: A high-level meeting took place today in the Vikas Soudha conference hall, presided over by Labour Minister Shri Santosh Lad, specifically aimed at resolving the grievances of outsourced staff employed in major industries and commercial firms across the state.

Focus on Worker Rights and Basic Facilities -

The core of the discussion centered on the information and basic amenities that must be provided to all workers and employees, ensuring their welfare. During the session, the Minister and officials exchanged views, briefly outlining the complex issues and challenges faced by outsourced workers and deliberating on appropriate corrective actions. Contractors and industry representatives participated in the discussion, during which the Minister emphasized the need to protect the rights of this workforce. The meeting concluded with expectations that the Minister would issue guidelines and assurances for prompt action to alleviate the workers' suffering.
