Highlighting the massive traffic volumes in the city, Shivakumar noted that over 2.5 crore vehicles are registered in Bengaluru, with more than 50 lakh vehicles on the move daily. Despite this, he stressed that repair and maintenance work on roads is being carried out successfully.

He further clarified that these efforts are not limited to physical infrastructure. “We are also striving to bring about a change in public perception. Bengaluru is slowly moving past the issues that once plagued it,” said the Deputy Chief Minister.
