During the Dasara holidays, a family from Belagavi traveled to Sironda beach in Sindhudurg, Maharashtra, only to meet with a tragic accident. Three family members drowned, and four others remain missing, with rescue efforts ongoing. One woman was rescued and is receiving treatment. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, came to light later.

The Kittur family from Belagavi had visited the Sironda beach for a holiday. The victims have been identified as Israr Kittur (17), Ibad Kittur (13), and Namira Aktar (16) from Alnavar. Prerana Kittur (34), a resident of Londa, was rescued and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Maharashtra. Her condition remains critical, and doctors report she is battling for her life. Irfan Kittur (36), Ikwan Kittur (15), Paryan Maniyar (20), and Zakir Maniyar (13) from Maharashtra are missing, with intensified search efforts ongoing.The Sindhudurg district fire brigade, police, and local fishermen are assisting in the search, utilizing drones, divers, and boats.
