Mysuru district has added 13 new tourist attractions, enhancing its appeal as a hub for historical, religious, and cultural tourism. These sites are set to elevate the district's tourism profile under the Karnataka Tourism Policy 2024-29.

Mysuru district’s tourism sector has received a significant boost with the official approval of 13 new tourist destinations under the Karnataka Tourism Policy 2024-29. This initiative is expected to further promote the district’s tourism potential.

13 New Tourist Attractions in Mysuru:

  2. Mysuru Railway Museum

  3. Oriental Research Institute (ORI) Museum

  4. Suttur Veerasimhasana Math

  5. Ganapati Sachchidananda Ashram

  6. R.K. Narayan’s House

  7. Mysore Sugar Factory Museum

  8. Uttanahalli Jwalamukhi Tripurasundari Ammanavara Temple

  9. Piriyapatna Sidilu Mallikarjunaswamy Temple

  10. T. Narasipura Mahalakshmi Sametha Gunjanarasimhaswamy Temple

  11. K.R. Nagar Arkeshwara Swamy Temple

The Commissioner of the Tourism Department, Dr. K.V. Rajendra, has instructed the District Collector to prepare an action plan, cost estimates, and maps for the development of these sites. These new additions complement Mysuru’s iconic attractions like the Amba Vilas Palace, Chamundeshwari Temple, and Chamundi Hills, promising to enhance the district’s appeal to tourists.
