In the 243-member assembly, the NDA currently holds 131 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan has 111 seats.The Election Commission has introduced 17 new reforms for this election, including webcasting at all polling stations, colored photographs of candidates on EVMs, and dedicated counters outside polling booths for voters to deposit their mobile phones. Approximately 7.42 crore voters are eligible to exercise their franchise in this election.
