Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi has stated that the confusion within the Congress party over the issue of changing the Chief Minister is evident. Speaking to reporters, he emphasized the need for the party high command to resolve this uncertainty with a clear decision.

Commenting on the cabinet reshuffle, Jarkiholi said that a request will be made to CM Siddaramaiah to allocate the two vacant cabinet positions to the Valmiki community. Regarding the Belagavi DCC Bank election, Jarkiholi clarified that discussions are still ongoing about whether Rahul Jarkiholi will contest. He added that a final decision will be made within ten days after consultations with all leaders. On the issue of the caste census, Jarkiholi supported Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar’s suggestion to simplify the 60 questions in the census. He proposed reducing the number of questions and allowing people to answer only those they are comfortable with.
